Debbie provides therapeutic services to children, young people, adults and families. The person centred approach is at the heart of all she does. She strives to offer a therapeutic relationship that is robust enough to contain whatever is brought to the sessions.
This might sometimes get a bit messy and she truly believes that if individuals are able to hang in there in the mess and be curious, open, accepting and loving then amazing development can happen. She is a gentle person and she realises that her style might not suit everyone and that is why she encourages people to come along and meet her and explore what they might be able to do together before committing to the process.
It is important to consider that sometimes the relationship does not gel in a comfortable way and it is ok to be honest about that. Debbie agrees with what Carl Rogers concluded - 'I realise that if I were stable, prudent and static; I'd live in death. Therefore I accept confusion, uncertainty, fear and emotional ups and downs; because that is the price I am willing to pay for a fluid, perplexed and exciting life'.
What do you think? If you would like someone that agrees with this to share your life experiences with then Debbie is ready and available to meet with you. You could go on a journey with Debbie and see what emerges, would you like to go down this path and see what emerges? If so please get in touch and arrange to meet Debbie in her self contained therapy room in South Lancaster and then you and her can see what you can do together!
